On the afternoon of October 16, 2020 members of GSAI were invited to a Ground-Breaking Ceremony for Kaneff’s Keystone project located on the south side of Burnhamthorpe Road East, just east of Robert Speck Parkway. In attendance on this special day was former Mayor Hazel McCallion, current Mayor Bonnie Crombie, Ward Councillor John Kovac, and members of the Kaneff family.
This site on the east edge of the Mississauga downtown, surrounded by Cooksville Creek, was originally planned and approved for development over 30 years ago. The most recent phase of development will consist of two new condominium apartment buildings. GSAI was honoured to be invited by the Kaneff family to this event considering the late Mr. Ignat Kaneff hired Glen Schnarr to do the original urban planning approvals for these lands, with GSAI continuing its long-standing Kaneff family relationship for the most recent City urban planning approvals.
